I paid a little more due to my laptop not connecting with the unit and added 'problem solving' time was added. But it would have been approx $2,000 - $2,200 or so from memory all up.

Also got my own gauges (two digital gauges for boost and egts), EGT probe and boost 3pin map sensor from auberinst.com for about $200 or so.

Keep in mind, if you're running a stock clutch, you'll be needing to upgrade that. It wont handle the extra torque. Mine ended up slipping from 2nd through to 5th gear. Running a 4terrain clutch now.. was about $1,400 supply and fit through JPC

Cheers mate I'm auto, from what i have read the auto would be fine. I may shift kit. If i lived in qld it would be getting a new turbo and injectors as well. Wish some one down here were right in to them

G'day mate just after a price on a hks unit shipped to Essendon 3040 ? Also is that JPC good for a tune ? I read that Jaybags got a tune off you in the end, How have you noticed fuel consumption after installing these computers? I'm interested in it for towing purposes. Cheers

I don't think they'd release them as plug and play models.. HKS don't even release the software to the public.

Who said to get a better turbo, exhaust, injectors before even bothering? Clutch yes, the standard clutch wont hold up to the torque.

You'll get a good tune just out of the HKS unit without any additional mods, a better tune with the mods you have.

Speak to Matt from JustAuto's (in Qld) about the actual HKS unit. Then take it to JPC in Thomastown.

The gains sound promising, but it seems a bit exy considering no new modules etc are required?

Also mine is the 05 model, before the update mid 06 - does this make much difference in being able to be tuned and expected gains compared to the later models?

Has anyone on the forum has this done? Do the HP and Torque increases live up to the claims of the seller? Any instances of check engine light since having it done? What codes?

A 3psi extra boost and AFRs which are claimed to be safe might make a noticeable difference, but does not add up to the gains alluded to. (IE UP TO 50% more torque - note the UP TO)

More information would be wise if this path is being considered.
