Learned a thing or two aswell - he lowered the boost down, but it still had more grunt than before, and should now extend the life of the turbo (unless I upgrade...).

The HKS is only part of the package. The skill of the Tuner plays a big part in how reliable/effective etc you tune is. I would put as much effort into picking a Tuner as I would the type of Piggyback computer I choose.

Works a treat, have had the tune updated in the meantime for a little more grunt.
No faults, no error codes, no issues what so ever. Love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Because it's tuned properly on a dyno, it's tuned properly to the cars capabilities and not just a generic tune a chip puts out. The HKS also has fail-safes in place too, it'll correct if there's an error.

Are you still running the standard turbo? What hp and nm of torque are you achieving?

Have you towed with it, if so what towing weight and over what distances? How did that go?

That was my original tune, as mentioned, havn't got figured for the updated, but has a lot more grunt to it.

Still running the stock turbo, stock injectors, stock exhaust. Havn't towed with it yet, but I doubt it'd be an issue.
Cheers,
Jay

I'm listening also. Jaybags graph is a bit hard to read the bottom line, but it looks like there could be plenty in that rev range.

Provided a good tuner with a dyno and all the diagnostic gear can be accessed, this looks like a way better path to follow than a "mystery bag" chip.

Spoke to Tunehouse today. They have dumped the HKS F Con iD in favour of Unichip.

Doubt they'll supply, I ordered mine from Matt at JustAutos and took it to JPC. Best to give Mark at JPC a call and get a quote off him. Great guy to deal with
Cheers,
Jay
