Does your car beep with the key in the ignition with the door open? Someone may have unplugged the sensors in the ignition barrel?

Never mind to anyone thinking of a solution, I just took the new key to my mechanic who programmed it for the doors and ignition using his scanning tools. Basically I bought a key from ebay for $75, cost me $30 to get it cut and $0 for mechanic so new key total $105. Cheers.

they must have put the price up but they have them listed for just under 18 bucks, which is still a bargain!

I have a 2012 Hilux with a G stamp key and a B42TA transmitter in the key with 3 buttons. Having trouble finding a replacement. It sounds like I can use a B41TA key with a G stamp?

btw...some Thailand sellers are sending B42TA modules instead of B41TA......these are interchangeable and work fine.

When it comes to B41TH modules with a dot key..ID67 NOT "G" chip, then we can help.....by rights all dot keys should be ID67 and with B41TA modules..NOT B41TH...but that is not written in stone, we have seen some anomalies to this.

ATTENTION guys n gals....EXCITING & NEW INFORMATION....IMPORTANT !

Up to now, anyone with ONLY a "G" chip VALET key ( from Sept '09 onwards ) could not get a copy OR a remote key without pulling the dash out of the vehicle to get to the immobiliser unit and then having it eepromed - ( virginised ) and then new master chips written into it...OUR Cost $1,500.....Toyota, $2,500 upwards.

New technology has JUST arrived and now "G" chip VALET keys can be CLONED....with or without the intergrated Keyless Entry function :D Of course the Keyless Entry still has to be programmed to the vehicle via on-board programming which anyone can do themselves....BUT, the chip itself is ready to START and run the vehicle. 8-)

Please feel free to pm me for more information.

Cheers, Ray.

Hi everyone

I have a 2012 3.0 4x4 auto dual cab Hilux, I bought a new lockset that came with 3 new keys, new cylinder for the driver door, glove box and ignition but after installing the new ignition cylinder the new keys weren't disabling the immobilizer preventing the engine from starting.

any clue what the problem can be ?? do the new keys have to be programmed to disarm the immobilizer ?

:?

I managed to program the transponder chip to start the engine

Is there a way to program the key to lock and unlock the doors? It's a 'G' key I have

Hey guys,

I only have a valet key, is there anyway to program more keys? Or do I need to get a mechanic with a scan tool to do it?

Cheers, Ev.

Dirty.....here are the instructions for programming the remote portion...

1: sit in car with door open
2: insert new key in ignition and remove it TWICE
2: close and open drivers door twice ending up with door open
3: insert key in ignition and remove it ONCE
4: close and open drivers door twice - then CLOSE it.
5: put key in ignition and turn to full dash light for 2 seconds....remove key and the door locks will lock/unlock indicating you are in programming mode
6: hold BOTH lock & unlock buttons together for 2 seconds then press LOCK button for 2 seconds...doors locks will lock & unlock again. remote is now programmed.

IF the door locks lock & unlock TWICE....repeat step 6 again...it is still in programming mode as this stage.

You do not have to program any other working remotes back in....this is for ADDING a new remote.

Cheers, Ray.

I think they may of changed the program on the chip since then. Tried it the other day. I followed the procedures and got it to "enter the program mode" where the doors cycled but once in the program mode what do you do? The instructions seem to stop there. Anyway if there is more please let me know as this is starting annoy me. Key still will not start the engine.

Thanks for this guide. Saved some $$$.

I bought the key from eBay with the correct transponder and remote for $60. (B41TA)

The key cutting cost me $30 and i had to go back to get it buffed up because it wouldn't open the locks smoothly.

The transponder and remote registered with the car after a couple of tries.

Hey guys, i bought one of these
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/361384988042 ... EBIDX%3AIT
for my 2014 hilux.

Have had the key cut but can't turn the key to code it. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this stage? I have the instructions on how to code the remote locking but missing the stage before.

Thanks!

07 sr5 v6 programming new key

Postby [-Sm0Ke-] on Wed, 11 May 2016 5:35 +0000

After purchasing a new "master" key (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291614592748 ... EBIDX%3AIT) I set about reprogramming it via the step by step procedure detailed on the ebay listing.

After having no luck (I could get the locks to cycle with the old master but nothing happened with the new one) I thought I'd read through the forum postings about the subject here.

Thinking that I may need to code the transponder 1st i tried that, 5 times in and out of the ignition 6 times open and shut the door. - Nothing happens, no 4 light flashes, no solid light, just security light off. Tried following through with the new key but all it does is flash at me.

Also tried just programming the central locking and can get the car into programming mode but cant do anything with the new key.

Ive opened up the new key to check if the right chip is in it, but its just a generic black cover with no numbers on it. The only info that's included is on a sticker on the key CMII ID : 2005DJ1379 model 12BBY-08.

Just trying find out if anyone has had the same issue following the steps detailed here or if it could be a case of receiving the incorrect part from the ebay seller

Just done what you are trying to do. The way I read it, you did it with the original key?? No need to use original key for any of it. Transponder was as you described, 5 times with the key and 6 with door, then waited about 60secs (with key in)for light to stop flashing. This indicates that the transponder is done. As for central locking, try this....Drivers door open, key in and out twice, close the open door twice, key in and out once, close and open door twice, key in, close door, turn key to "on" then back to "off' and remove. Locks should cycle once if in prog mode. Press and hold lock and unlock buttons on remote for a couple of seconds and release then press lock button. With any luck, the locks will cycle. Open and close door to end prog mode.

Hope this helps

Cheers Krusty,

Yeh I've been using the original key. The instructions described using the original key initially for the 5 times in and out, 6 open and close with the door then replace with the new key. (that's how I've been doing it) - I shall try it your way and see if that works...

In regards to the central locking procedure, again I've been doing it with the original key. (the new key is still a blank currently as I was going to code it first before getting it cut) - So im unable to turn the barrel to the on position that's required.

I'm hoping it's just something I'm doing wrong and not an issue with the new key, the more I try though the more its pointing to it being the wrong key type.
