G'day M8....please post pics of the FRONT of your key and the internal module with the numbers on it .

If the pics dont come out clear....then post ALL the info on the module please.

These ones...08/2004 - 04/2006 are VERY peculiar modules and are hard to come by.

We are currently looking for a test vehicle to see if another OEM module with work instead of the specified one.

Cheers, Ray.

Bringing up an old thread but it's a very helpful one when you lost your keys!
Ok I still have one original key how ever I bought 2 new keys from Thailand with the same numbers and what not on them. I have tried to do this and when I complete it the doors lock and unlock but it won't start my car.
The central locking bit won't work either.
How can I get this to work?

FIRST and foremost you must have one working MASTER key....that is a BLACK head key, regardless of whether it has buttons or not.

If you only have a valet key..GREY head, then no more keys can be added using the manual onboard programming sequences.

Let us assume that you have a MASTER....there are TWO programming sequences...Stage one & two, with stage one to be done FIRST.

FIRST...to code the transponder chip into the vehicle....

and SECOND....to code the Remote Central Locking portion of the Intergrated Remote Keyless keys from Thailand....btw, these keys from Thailand are OEM and work perfectly..PROVIDED they are in fact the correct key with correct internal module.

Up to 2009/10 they are the ID67 chip with B41TA module....after that, "G" chip with B41TH module.

Please give me full details of vehicle/s and BUILD dates if you are unsure.

If you would like the correct programming sequences for these keys....let me know and I will post them here a bit later on.

IMPORTANT.....if your door open chime/ with key in ignition function has been disconnected....it MUST be re-connected before BOTH these programming sequences can take place.

Cheers, Ray.

I have the OEM key which I have been assured is the correct key for my 07 Hilux, however the manual programming sequence does not work. After investigation I have been told that from 07 onward you cannot manually program the vehicle to accept a new key but it must be programmed using a device that plugs into your dash.
So I believe I need to have the spare key programmed into the system using this method.

Does anyone know of someone in Brisbane that can do this fairly cheaply?

have checked inside your key to make sure you have the correct chip, open your original key and the new key, the small codes must be the same

Yeah the only small codes i can find in there are the b41th and both are the same my new key has the dot stamped into but i have been using a set of pliers to turn the stub of the old key and cant tell if it is a stamped dot or a G i did read that there is a difference between the two.it does turn the ignition.i went to my local auto sparky (the only bloke in town with a scan tool)and he recons he cant do it and toyota is the only option.mine is a june 2010 sr

Well, if you have the correct key and information and your following that information step by step correctly, the only other thing I can think of is you have all ready reached the maximum amount of keys allowed to be programmed for the vehicle. I think it's five keys max, maybe find the info you need to do this and try deleting a key from the system an then try reprogramming. Just be sure to keep at least one working key as your master don't delete all of them.

Mate...urs is a "G" chip key ( changed over in Sept 09 ). The "dot" signifies the wrong chip and it will be an ID67...NOT compatable...

The MODULE is correct as in B41TH....but the CHIP is wrong.

You MUST have a working Master key before any ON-BOARD programming procedure will work...the car MUST see the working Master Chip...BEFORE it will go into programming mode.

If you need further help, just PM me mate.

Cheers, Ray.

Boxy is correct, it is manual on-board programming...does your key in ign/door open chime work ?

If not, it must be re-connected before programming will work.

I am in Brissy if you still need a hand mate.
