No problem at all I found this to be the best way to be secure. We was going up some tracks on straddie up a hill which was very bouncy the car made it up no problem and the kayaks was surprisingly still on the roof strapped in tight.

If I only take one kayak then I always lie it upside down flat on the racks

Won a free ecu remap tune from Pro Diesel Tune Perth. Took it in today and he's installed a 3 inch exhaust and waiting on the software from the developer to take it back in. Can not wait! The 3 inch pipe sounds meaty as too!

ooo I do like the placement of those USB. Only thing i can think of with that is they'll get chocked full of shit, but minor detail! ps, only 5v 1A? not 2.3amp? Half my crap won't charge correctly on the 1amp ones :(

Nice work on the boot, i found i had to reglue the plastic thing together and back it with a piece of old coat hanger bent into shape from memory.

That and remind the mrs to stop putting heavy things on the boot itself (phones and such).

I actually took these sockets from my battery box but ive got Narva sockets coming in which can do up to 2.5A. Im hoping it doesnt have bright LED either...

I thought about placing it like below but it would have blocked access to the cup holders (think tall maccas cups)

My plastic thing for the boot was broken in a dozen pieces and it looks like the last owner already tried to super glue it back together :D

No pics but i finally got around to fixing all the little shit on my lux gwtting it ready for the weekend.
Fixed the horn which hasnt been working for ages was just a bad earth. Got my water tank pump working again was also a dodgy earth crimp connector from the supplier. Put my grill back on and run my winch in and out to check its still working. Also bolted my bash plates back up.

Haven't done anything myself but mines been in the dealership for 2 weeks now
4WD light and low fuel warning light not working
They've replaced the dash cluster and then the 4WD light wouldn't go out, now they are talking about replacing the ECU.
Thank god for 5 year warranties (2013 SR5)

While my dash is in 1000 pieces i decided to make some wiring to use the headunits reverse camera feature. I put in an RCA input and instead of the reverse being the trigger i put in a switch to 12v+ so i can control it manually.

Image

At the moment i have my dashcams A/V out plugged in, but im thinking of putting in a front camera angled downwards so when im going up steep hills i can actually see and also for parking assist.

Down deposit on new xrox bar and xrox rear step.
Should be ready to fit in a fortnight. With my 2inch lift and the new bar I should be able to get 275 65r17 yokohama geolander at tyres in
Big G on the move.

Installed new uhf antenna, due to its height I got a twin system , 3dbi and 6.6dbi. 3dbi short for around town and 6.6 on big trips.

Installed a secondary filter and upgraded the battery terminals.

Image

Changed the primary filter element at the same time. Quite a lot of gunk in there...

Image

Technically I didn't actually apply it, but the tub is now protected with Speedliner.
