one set of injectors done free out of warranty time
two sets or rear wheel bearings one set done out of warranty but free
one rear drive shaft at time of second set of wheel bearings
one front wheel bearing
all under warranty
one auto trans at 115000
one auto at 220000 yes i do run a trans cooler now two!
one melted piston NO.3 at 113000 just after new injectors installed toyota wouldnt have a bar of it
all other pistons fine and injectors tested and all came back fine
What the F##K happend then??????????
complete rebuild new diesel pump and $11000k later
BUT I STILL LOVE HER

Maybe the old Injectors were kept in too long ?
Why were they replaced how bad were they?
Who r we trusting to tell us the right answers?

Jan '10, so 5 and a half years only 66,000klm.....ahhhh the joys of working 4 and 1 FIFO construction in the remote Pilbara.....and that includes 4 trips to and from Darwin / Karratha, one return trip to Melbourne and one to Perth and home via Ayres Rock and the Alice.

I have a 2011 sr5 that has done 150000klms. I'm thinking that its time to upgrade but there is a lot of things I don't like about the new Hilux. ( Price being one)
I have spent a lot of money setting up the one I have and don't really want to go through all of that again.

Just wondering how many kays people are putting on theirs.

Brothers 08 Hilux has over 400 k km and still driving it today.

Big differance between d4d engines and L series
My L series has 400k, slow but reliable

If you have keep up on maintness and it well looked after 150k is nothing
I service my 09 every 5000 without fail and got an excellent trad in value because of it

Mine done 240k now and still going strong. Its gad a hard life to. Always over loaded and goes anywhere I want it to. Done a lap and a half of Aust as well, mostly off road.

Mate's 08 is over 350k. Injectors changed as a precaution at around 325. Clutch around 250 (I think).

1 radiator

had 600kg on her backall day everyday since new
two trips to the cape countless off road trips and still going strong.
she is feeling a little loose though

09 SR5 dual cab diesel - 160,000 - chipped - muffler and 2 inch lifted from new - never had a problem
