Plenty of cheaper non-genuine ones out there...

Thanks for that CraigB. Might hit up the wreckers. Thinking of setting up a hidden one for a dash cam soon..... might have to do it with new wiring to ensure the cam receives constant unhindered current.

G'day PC_Master_Race,
Does it need to be a cigarette type socket? If it does, as others said, hit up the wreckers.
If it doesn't there is a really good twin usb outlet that clicks into the standard blanked holes in the dash that Solidkit sells that I've just installed, I've run constant power into my cabin and its powered from that.

Just an alternative that would likely do what you need, assuming you don't explicitly need the other socket.

You could probably just permanently wire your dash cam in behind the dash and run the cable around the panelling (making sure you keep away from the airbags in the pillar) and out behind the rear vision for a high mount one and into the cam or up from behind the dash if its a low mount one, with maybe just a toggle switch hidden somewhere if you wanted to turn it off for what ever reason.

Droppy
