2012/13 D4D transmission fluid

Had a search but the question has never been answered.

Just for piece of mind id like to change the transmission fluid, but as has been said before don't want to drop the sump to do the filter as Toyota say it isn't required.

Fitted a cooler and the fluid was dirty looking, this might be normal, I don't know. nearing 100k and haven't done much hot heavy work but got a lot coming up this summer.

My questions are, is pumping the fluid out a cooler line an acceptable safe method?

is there any way of getting the fluid out of the converter other than filling and draining a couple of times?

and, how much fluid is required to do this?

My procedure is in my second post on page 5 viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5513&start=80

I used 16l but I think 20l would be ideal for a flush.
