Hosing out interior

Postby thermos on Thu, 27 Nov 2014 6:49 +0000

Hi,

I have a 2008 SR (ex construction) with red dust . In order to give the interior a good clean, I have taken the vinyl flooring and seats out. I take it is okay to give it a hose out once the drain plugs are removed? (watching electrics etc)

If you were very careful it should be alright, make sure you give it plenty of time to dry out. I used a sponge and bucket when I did mine. Takes a bit longer but safer.

Cheers,

Chris.

Watch out for the computers and also the A and B pillars are full of pink foam which gets really wet and stays really wet.

No problem, as long as you don't go to crazy with the water. I have done this to several of my cars that I have owned. The only thing I would add to this is I would wait until you are due to have a stinking hot day coming up, and do it then. The hotter weather will assist in drying everything out quicker.
