pre filter/ water separator

I have looked at the posts about filters. I'm considering installing a pre filter/water separator at the tank. The filter is 30 microns. I have been told that the filter on my 2011crd is 5 microns. Can some one verify this and also will the 30 micron filter be ok. Wondering about fuel flow/pressure or is it to much strain on the pump. I've installed a lr tank and want to be on the safe side.

I have since been talking so a mate who came up with an idea. Suggestion was to put a water watch trap after the tank that has a sensor followed by a ryco z200 disposible filter of 30microns prior to the std filter. The ryco filter is a steel cannister about 75mmlong and 40mm diameter. The water sensor should alert you to water allowing you enough time to stop and rectify the problem before the water makes it to the ryco filter. Thus eliminating the the effect to the std filter. Does anyone have any comment to the idea.

I wouldn't be stuffing around installing a separate water trap and filter. If you want both then install a filter and water trap in one.
I only installed a glass bowl water trap without a filter, because personally I can't see the points of the 2nd filter. I just wanted the water trap for added peace of mind and change the Toyota filter every 10,000kms
