Hi all!
Im a newbie on here so please be patient and im sorry if this has already been answered, i had a quick scroll through and couldn't find anything. So here goes,
Iv got a 09 dual cab hilux running 265/75/r16 bfg AT's with 3" EFS raised front suspension and a 2" body lift all round (nothing in the back because after the 2" body lift it all looks level?) but but iv been next to a few other hiluxs who seem to tower over me? So my question is, what can i do to get the most height/ clearance with out going to overboard like having a solid axle installed in the Front haha
Cheers guys, Nathan

Hey mate. Hopefully ya suspension has sagged heaps. I have 2inch body lift and 2inch suspension with 32s and I'm bigger than most where I live and will only be bigger when I go to 33s. All I can suggest is get ya suspension checked and get some 33s.

Thanks Toyzx,
I was wondering if my suspension had sagged, iv only got a stock breaker bar and i did ask for heavy duty when i ordered the springs and struts in but who knows, and i completely forgot to take measurments after i put the new suspension in. But ill definitely take it in and get the guy to have a look, it should still be under warranty. Arent 75s pretty close to being a 33? atleast that's what iv been told anyway

Technically speaking 265/75R16 are just shy of 32s, and 285/75R16 are just shy of 33s. Does depend on the brand of tyre tho.

Mine sits at around 820mm (bottom of rim up to edge of flare) and my front springs r a little sagged. I only got medium springs but then put a heap of weight on it so I need heavier ones.

The guys at the shop said it had dropped, i switched back to my stock standard suspension and i went from 805mm to 785mm. And it looks as if the middle of spring on both sides is pushed across rubbing on the strut if that makes sense to anyone?

Spring not seated properly? Top hat flogged out? Hit them up for warranty?

Could any of that be due to my "driving" off road?
Im sending them in today to be looked at so fingers crossed they honor their 3yr/100,000km warranty :?

Sorted! After the guys in the shop not believing they'd sagged and trying to sell me a set of coil spacers i removed them myself and dropped them in to be checked. The springs had gone soft and had dropped 14mm. EFS didnt believe i only had a stock breaker bullbar upfront to do that to a heavy duty set. I think the owner was genuinely shocked as he said he had never seen that happen in his years of dealings with EFS. But on a good note i went from 805mm to 855mm.

If you want a more accurate way of measuring what lift you have measure from centre of hub to bottom of flare or guard. Stock height should be around 500mm so 2" lift will be 550mm and 3" 575mm. Hope that helps.
