Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some input to a suspension lift for my 2014 SR5.
Was wondering if I should go with a 3" front, 2" rear or just 2" all round.
I've heard good and bad things about Ironman and Tough Dog, and heard nothing bad about EFS and Bilstein and Rancho.
Would I need or anybody recommend putting a diff drop kit in it.
I want it set up for bar, dual batteries and winch etc.
Not sure whether to buy a kit or get parts individually. That way I can pick and choose what shocks and springs etc.
Car will be used for touring mostly and a little weekend 4wding with friends.
Cheers
Brad

I have a 2010 SR5 and when we did an around Aus trip back in 2011 I had a Lovells kit installed which gave me a 50mm lift at the rear and 35mm at the front. We are running a bulbar, winch and second battery and were carrying an 80ltr fridge in the rear, towing a camper and a have long ranger 145ltr fuel tank. The extra support at the back is great but now we don't carry load on the back it is a bit heavy duty. Make sure you understand what you will be carrying and for what purpose and look at what sort of driving you will be doing everyday. i.e. look at the ride hardness/softness not just the height.

Not sure why you would go for 3" at the front, seems like overkill to me.

3 inch at the front….
Ever thought bout a diff drop kit?
I got OME middle/middle in my rig and it gives about 2 inch lift - driving without any load is not funny any more.
Calculated permanent extra weight is 120 kg in the back and 20kg in the front.
If you think about lift you have to think about extra wight and why you want to have extra springs in the car.
If your rig is mostly empty maybe spacers would do the job. Its not a nice way to lift a showcar but a cheap one.

Dont level your empty car, most pickups have sort of a wedge form, for they are supposed to carry load in the back. If you level an empty car, the front would point up if load is applied ….
