Ln106 drop drag link mod's

Anyone flipped the drag link above the J-arm to stop bind on the u-bolts under flex

Looking into fitting 70 series tie rods (they look the same except the pin )
70 series are a m21x1.5 thread same as hilux
Except the 20mm ball on the J-arm and pitman arm are removed and reamed to accomadate a m14x1.5 tappets pin
Allowing the drag link to be mounted above J-arm and the shitty pressed in pins that come loose and give bad steering to be binned without replacing the pit and j-arm
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................

So here's what I've been able to find out
Genuine 75 series pin 4547260020 is an m14x1.5 tapered pin

The hole in the J-arm and pitman arm is 16mm once pin is removed

You can get a bum steer kit from a vw (tie rod flip kit) witch requires you machine(not drill) a 17mm hole
Press bush in and will give you a tapered hole to fit new drag link pins into

If you don't wish to use a bush and only require the j-arm done you could just ream the hole (7deg) and use a gu tie rod m22x1.5/m16x1.5
But you will also require a m22 tap to run down your draglink
You cannot do this to the pitman arm as there isn't enough meat to go that big

Either of these mods are needed to do a drag link flip if you want to run lift blocks or heaver suspension with going to a cross steer or high steer when your drop drag link hits your u-bolts
