Ok installing my liftkit this weekend....

Postby 01rickster on Fri, 07 Sep 2012 2:54 +0000

on a 1996 solid axle dualcab hilux, and thought I'd quickly better ask if theres any tips or tricks to doing it. If you wanted to you are more than welcome to come round and give directions in showing us what to do. And if there;s any1 else out there thinking of putting in their own lift, come round and get some tips. Will be putting on a BBQ and shouting liquid amber after the project is done. So Tips or practical help, bring it on. Will put up pics afterwards if all goes well. Cheers Rick.

Best tips. Chassis stand both sides of the ute so that it's level and the shackle pins will line up easier. Put together together in the following order. Fixed end shackle. Then line up centre bolt in axle and fit u-bolts. Then line up swinging shackle end. Easiest order of doing it.
Also make sure that your brake lines are long enough ;)
