Independent front suspension, help!!

I'm wanting an 05+ sr5 hilux an putting on a 4" lift but iv heard they have troubles with the independent front suspension breaking how bigger problem is it? Does it happen regularly or do you have to really be thrashing it for it to happen? And how much does it cost to fix if does happen? cheers

It's the CV's that cop a lot of stress but if you get a diff drop kit with the lift kit to bring CV's at the stock angle you should be fine.

Ave a search for ultimate and monster rides recon lift kits, they have heaps of info.

X2 monster rides diff drop kit..

Monster rides will have all the gear you need to make the lift but also make it reliable ie. Not busting CV's with bad angles. Also VMN does aftermarket CV's units, from all reports are a very good option to replace a busted one with or even to have as a spare.
