TORSION BAR

THIS IS AN OLD QUESTION BUT I WANT MORE LIFT IN THE FRONT END (I HAVE AN ARB WINCH BAR AND WINCH) OF MY RIG WHATS THE PROS AND CONS OF WINDING
UP MY TORSION BARS AND KEEP IN MIND MY SUS WAS UPGRADED TO OME WHICH IM TOLD GIVES U 30MM OF LIFT IN THE FRONT AND 50MM IN THE REAR OF MY 2003 SR5 CHEERS
PS I HAVE ASK MY MECH AND HE WASNT KEEN ON THE IDEA ...WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS

You can "adjust" the torsion bars to maintain the correct height but don't go overboard. You should leave 1/3 clearance to the top bump stop and 2/3 to the bottom. This will allow the suspension to work properly with out riding on the bump stops. There's no point having a few extra millimetres height if the suspension isn't moving. Winding the bars up too much will overstress them and they will lose their memory. This means they will not flex any more and will gradually get weaker. If you over stress them too much, they will snap.
