Matching tyre profiles

Hi all
This is not Lux related but we are buying a second car so as to give the Lux a break from having to drive around town and parking. Have already broken tail lights trying to get the dual cab into tight spots. We looked at a front wheel drive. The rear tyres are Falken and Bridgestone. Tread doesn't match. My question is....Is this legal and should it pass a safety inspection here in Qld? Hoping someone knows about this stuff.
