Options for a 2009 SR5

Been a few years since I owned a hilux, had an SR in the past with a 2” lift and 266/75/16 and 16x7+30 steelies

This time around I’ve picked up an SR5 and want to keep it with factory looking mags (2” lift already ordered)

My options are 32/11.5r15’s on the stock 15x7+30’s which I don’t feel great about the rim width....

Option 2 is a 275/70/17 (32.2”) on a 150 series prado 17x7.5+25 wheel which is cheap enough to pick up second hand.

I’m leaning towards option two but havnt been able to find much info on that combination, any thoughts on this? Or know a common Toyota alloy in 16x7ish to run a 265/75/16 on?

You can buy 120 ‘cruiser/Prado copies from Speedy quite cheaply in satin, black and shadow chrome. Also 2008-9 TRD wheels or 2011 diesel SR5 or 2012 on, all the same size and offset. Do the 120 series front rotor and caliper upgrade (same as TRD) at the same time.

Yeah go 17in as HK1837 suggests for the brake upgrade and greater tyre options.

I run 265 65 17 A/Ts around town. I picked up a set of stock 17in sr5 alloys for $350 on gumtree. Can't remember the offset.

I run 285 70 17 M/Ts on steel p10 rims when I go on trips.
I did run patrol 16x8 running 265 75 16 bfg muds and a long time ago I ran prado90 16x7 steel rims.

Now that I think about it... there is a great deal written here on this if you do a little search.

I think the factory 17x7.5’s are 30P. This rim with 265/65/17 and 120 series brakes on a 2009 is all good and legal as that is exactly what a TRD had.
