Moving from standard 205R16 to 245/75/16 tyres

Hi guys, just wondering if going from standard 205R16 to 245/75/16 tyres would be too much of a performance issue on a non-turbo, LN167 2001 single cab hilux. She's quite sluggish currently (no turbo, no chip and standard exhaust). Would I be better off going for 225/75/16?. Reason for going to 245/75/16 was for the extra height which works out to be about 24 mm (12 mm increase in height) with the cooper At/3 (205R16 = 736mm diameter??, 225 = 747mm, 245 = 771mm).

Has had the suspension replaced with an OME kit from ARB.

Hi bud welcome to the forum you should try an intro first, have you tried the search as the is a hole section on tyres and rims in the tyre bible, and if the answer not there ask the question there some one will know,

My 2 cents worth, th gain 20mm in Hight on a 2x4 doesn't seem logical. Maybe for looks .
If I have anything Good to Say it will be Above.
