swhilux, maybe you've had a bad experience with the Cooper STT's which are the full mud terrain ones. I've heard that those are a bit iffy. My mate use to run them and chunks of the rubber were tearing apart.
Pipert, your right mate sorry. They were the STT that I had. Yes I found them to be shocking in everything except mud. Not practical for much else.
I also had the ST's about 6 years ago for about 8 months before I sold the car. Wasn't a huge fan of those either but there road manners and practicality were ok. I prefer good old BFG AT's. Not the best tire either but great road manners and fair tread life. Shit on the beach though unless dropped to 15psi.
Have you looked at The Mickey 4rib AT's? I have a few friends that swear by them now and will not go back to Cooper ST's or STmax. I will be going those after the current set of BFG AT's are rooted.
