305/70R17 34's fitment

Postby taylux on Sun, 13 Apr 2014 6:16 +0000

Hi all,
been looking into 305/70R17 fitment to my hilux, tried search but nothing for 34's has come up. Trying to avoid some of the work of 35's by going slightly smaller and with a -12 offset rim.
Would this aleviate some of the firewall and chassis issues boys on 35's have had? Currently running 265/75R16 on +10 but with just over 3" lift they look small :D
Any Opinions welcomed, thanks.

-12 will shoot you in the foot a bit. Best bet is staying at +10 mate or even 0

Cheers, I was wondering if going negative would run into trouble. But reading the 35s thread a lot had issues with sway bar and chassis rail clearance. Guess there no "easy" solution other than a hammer :)

It pushes you too close to the body mount, +0 would probably be the go, +10 may give you issues with it being too close, definitely need aftermarket UCAs, maybe remove the sway bar?
