Wintertyres for my 2014 SR5

Postby rapalaronsweden on Tue, 01 Apr 2014 6:23 +0000

Hi Guys,

I'm new on this forum, and i need some help.

Bought a brand new hilux SR5 for my wife. Also called SR+ here in Sweden
Standard tyres are 265/65/17 on J7,5 alloy wheels with offset +35
For winteruse in Sweden i need less wide winter-tyres with spikes for more roadpresure on the ice roads.
Ouestion: Can i put 235/85/16 tyres with alloy j7 wheels with offset +20 on my hilux with original suspention?

Thanks

Ron from Swedish Lappland.

On the tyrecalculator is the 235/85/16 tyre amost 3 centimeters higher as the 265/65/17, so that will be 1,5 cm when mounted. I know there is no problem for the rear, but the front ???
The tyres i bought are NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA LT2 Here A link http://www.nokiantyres.se/vinterdack/no ... iitta-lt2/
These tyres are special disingned for extreem nordic conditions. Have them under my Troopy HZJ78 and can just recommend them.

Best Regards

Please use the search function as this has been covered a lot. Here's a link to lots of threads featuring the fitting of 235/85/16 tyres, please ask your questions in one of the existing threads.
