Steel Rims for the new Lux

Postby mackenzie on Wed, 30 Oct 2013 9:15 +0000

Hey all, new to the forum and looking for some help. I recently purchased a new SR and in the process of doing all the Mods. I was wondering if anyone knew which steel rims had the best load rating and if some where better quality than others. I was looking at the black dynamic Rims but can't find any info on load rating. Chasing 16-8 to put BFG mud 265/75 tyres on. Can any one help me out and any info would be appreciated. Cheers! Macka

Im about to do a similar upgrade soon and have been reading around.

Sounds that any of the sunraysia style wheels are good. Don't pay much more than about $100 each for them, and most wheel and tyre shops should be able to source them for you if you can't find them online.

From what I've read, a 16x7 +20 offset is the most recommended wheel size for using a 265/75/16 tyre on the newer hilux's.
