Show us your Tyre / Rim combo...

Postby Merkin on Wed, 19 Jun 2013 8:16 +0000

Hey Guys,
i've done a search, but couldnt find a thread with just photos of the wheels/rims everyone is running.
I'd start this off, but im only running standard SR5 rims at present :( , and im after ideas of what looks good/is practical.
It'd be good if you could label the pics - make/model and size of both tyre and rim, whether you have a lift, etc.
cheers!
Merkin.

Merkin have a look in the post 05 tyre forum and look for a sticky that says "tyre and wheel bible WIP" or something similar. I'm I'm not near a computer at the moment to link it for you. Will lock and link it when I can. Cheers Mark

Thanks for that mark.

I have had a look at that thread, and some great info there, but not too many of the posts have photos- which is what I'm after.
Cheers.

Has anyone run MT Classic Locks or Black Classic Locks with chrome ring to get the same look as scottsr20?
I dunno whether its just me but his tire have a good sorta wide look to them despite being a 285 and wondering if its the wheels with mock beadlocks that help that look?

18x9 fuel hostage with -12 offset. Sadly will have to go to be replaced with a smaller offset to fit 35s

Something to consider but clearance would be a serious issue. Not to mention loads on spindles and hubs.. I'm hoping to go a 12.5" 35 so will be killer..

Was goon running 35s on IFS with -22? Impressive

I'm waiting on my walker evans that are 17x8.5 with -19 offset. Going to be wrapped in 35x12.5 Micky T ATZ 4-Ribs. Have got spindle gussets and MR Flares.

Although goon doesn't have spindle gussets he will most likely need to replace them in the near future.

Far out! Some serious stance! I'd probably need to cut my firewall back significantly and relocate the body mount an inch further back!

Yeah, he's got a 1" body lift too. I'm running MR and a 3" bl and I'm looking at limiting steering like max and going some -6 or -12 mickey thompsons, just can't decide on wheels, but they'll almost definitely be wrapped in 35" claws.

I think there was another bloke on here with -22 as well?. Be tough without slightly limiting steering. Are you wanting to keep ya sway bar?

Sorry for the thread hi-jack, I just love talking about 35's :D
