I have 2007 SR Hilux dual cab 4x4 and thinking of running 245/75R16 Cooper ST Maxx. Ha ve had cooper st on all my vechiles 235/70r16 but the new ones will be on my standard rims tyre salesman seems to think they'll fit but won't commit typical was wondering if I will have problems with guard chaffe or rubbing in wheel arch what do you all think if they will or won't. I don't have flared guards or anything . I reckon they'll fit. Any info would be great

Should not have any worries.

You can even fit a 235/85x16 without a lift

you may need flares to keep them inside the guard but as the other boys have said no dramas with rubbing etc

They will definitely fit with no lift on standard SR rims and you don't need flares. Done it.

Need to be on 7inch rim, std 6inch rim on SR is to narrow. 225/75 profile is biggest on 6in rimCheers

Yep Charlie is correct, the Cooper website says the approved rim width for 245/75R16 tyres is 6.5-8"

....but I ran them on standard SR rims a fews ago for over 18 months and I'm still here today and so is my Hilux.....just.

They will fit on 6inch know problems, have my spare with thate size on only trouble would be from boys in blue . :lol:

Thanks for all the info been very helpful Have had a S/H 245/75R16 G/Year wrangler fitted on 6" rims to test today fits very well. The only problem is the bloke thinks that on the 6" inch rim it may open the tread and cause them to wear a little quicker but a mate said that poorer quality tyres probably would but not the coopers ST maxx what do you blokes think ? I've ordered them so touch wood eh. Five O in tas wouldn't even know the difference so i'm safe there.

Have one of my mine customers running that tyre for a couple of months now, they are verry happy with them, and you wont be disapointed, they recon they are awsome in the wet.

I have a 265/75/16 on a standard rim as my second spare fits no worries
