Hey all,

Got some Kittens Interior Cleaner - foamy spray can with a brush cap - didn't work very well on the head lining....other non-plastic bits OK...

I know this thread is getting old but just thought I'd post what works best for me..
I'm a panel beater, so I talk to the detailers about stuff like this.. The products at the shop don't compare to an ice cream container with hot water and a cap of dynamo!! Dunk a rag in it and scrub away! Has worked very well for me!

Thanks Tazlar, I will give that a go. As you said the commercial products aren't great, I've tried.... :(

Seen this thought id reply incase a lot of blokes had never thought to give gumption a crack, can't beat it. even on your shagged stained WHITE car paint then wash and wax to put a barrier back on to protect ya paint surface, can obviously swirl the top coat if you apply it coarse so dilute into a paste to whatever grain you like and scrub with terry towelling and wash the white residue off with the wash and wax, know a lot of detailers swear by it for all sorts of shit

Just joined up and found this old thread. If anyone is still looking, thought I would add my thoughts.

The roof lining in my 2008 sr5 has got a lot of black dust over it, I tried to vacuum it and had some success.
I have been holding off on putting anything liquidish / foamish on it, as I've heard the fabric can release from the former after time, if you do. Does anyone know anything about this or is it just crap I've heard.
And if anyone has tried a cleaner about 6 - 12 mths ago how is it going?

Pretty sure a carpet steamer would work great

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I'm just wondering if anyone has heard about steam cleaning a roof lining? In any type of car. As mentioned above I recall being told it can cause the glue in the lining to fail?

Might give the cup of dynamo a go first.
