Replacing Wiper Blades

Replacing Wiper Blades

Postby HardCharger on Thu, 01 Sep 2011 12:19 +0000

Hi All,

Any tips you can give when replacing the wiper blades (rubber part only & not the entire blade assembly)?

There is a sort of lock on one end that's a bear to get through. I was told to use pliers to slightly open the guide so I can easily remove the blade. While this sort of worked, I think I over squeezed the one of the guides back and this will make the future blade replacement a bit more difficult.

Is there a way to change out the rubber blades without having to screw around with the guides?

Thanks.

There should just be a clip thing at one end. Squeeze it together, pull the blade out and replace it with a new blade (cut to size). When you get the new blade in, click the clip in and you should be done. Piece a piss!
