HELP.. vibrations

Postby dermy on Sun, 16 Jan 2011 5:35 +0000

okay i just purchaces my first lux in december its an 06 sr dc 4x4 d4d in the past few weeks ive started to notice a noise.

it starts to get noticable at around 50kph and the noise gets slightly loader when acceleration and also the speed of the noise gets quicker.

it kinda sounds like wosh wosh wosh.

at first i thought it might be a wheel out of balence but ive sinced change all four rims and tyres and the sounds still there.

any suggestions?

ive been searching the forum for a few days but i couldnt really find anything the same as this

sounds stupid but check wheel nuts too. rims may not be sitting on hub properly, check the distance between the hub and the rim.... may need spacers... vibration through the steering i take it?

Has it had the recall done? Climb under and check gear box mounts too.... Not an ex mining or service vehicle was it?

I went to the toyota web site, go to recalls, tail shaft, put in your vin number and it should tell you if it needs doing, I allso have a 06 and got it in Dec, and now booked in for the recalls x2, hope this has helped. Steve
