Front Diff leak

Postby abs on Tue, 27 Oct 2015 12:38 +0000

Hi Guys,

My 2003 3.4 V6 stalled in a parking lot recently, jump started didn't work either.
Luckily had road side assist dso, got it but, the moron didn't know anything and got it towed to a mechanic he reconed is good in petrie.
Next day mechanic said the battery is dead and terminals needs replacing too.

I liked the guys and said there are few other issues I need them to fix as the car was in the garage. Water pump and there were drops coming out of the front diff.

The guy said he has fixed it and mentioned in the bill that front diff seals replaced and diff refilled with oil.

I just saw over the weekend that the drops are coming exactly the same way they were before and I can't see even a single nut unscrewed.

Is there any way of know what he says he has done, he actually has done it?

I paid a big amount to him in good faith but these kind of dodgy things makes me feel real bad.

Please assist

Have a look at the drain and refill plugs if they have had spanners on them...
Open up the refill plug and stick your finger in to see if the oil is full and clean (drive a bit first so it mixes around)
