speedo cable 2000 2.7, 4x2, dual cab

I have a hilux 2000, 2.7 ltre, 4x2 dual cab.
model no RZN149R ...My speedo cable needs replacing and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not, if it has to be the exact RNZ149R MODEL CABLE..Or will the cable off another model Hilux fit ?...many thanks . Gillylux

My cable was noisy and the speedo needle was jumping about, thought I had to replace the cable but got some oil down into the cable, problem fixed. that was about 8 yrs ago, no prob since.

Did my cable on the weekend too. Noisy ticking sound behind the instrument cluster. Cable came out easy wiped it down and lubed it up. Good as new
