electronic valve on back of stock turbo

Hi I just run in to a issue with the stock electronic valve on the back of the turbo that controls the boost getting stuck open causing the computer to throw a code saying turbo malfunction. So I have started to look in to aftermarket replacment turboslike the axt variable vain one , has anyone tryed these ones not after massive power gains and want to run same boost just want to be more robust than the stock one and have anyone herd of ppl running the of replacement turbos basically stock boost and stock computer.
