Aftermarket Auto Shifter

Hi guys just wondering has anyone changed their standard 5 speed auto shifter to an aftermarket one like TCI, B&M etc, the ratchet style shifters ? After the straight row gear changing now a maze ? Or does anyone know of someone or who would be a company that I could talk to about this sort of thing.

Best way is to search Tacoma or 4Runner and simular age in the states.

B&M should have a search vehicle section for this

A750F is electronically controlled, most TCI, B&M and Hurst shifters are mechanically controlled that are designed for a small group of transmissions GM 350/400/TKO, C4, Power glide etc

Good luck trying to find a 5 speed ratchet style shifter too, better off getting a shift kit fitted as the shifts will be crisper and slightly harsher giving you that manliness feeling.

Yes the A750F and A750E are both controlled by the ECU but there is still an actual cable from the shifter to the Box so in theory you could install a B&M shifter.

But I did a search form him and no kits are available - personally I prefer my original knob
