2013 SR5 4wd light flashing in 2wd

Any assistance pls. After a recent trip out in high range 4wd and returning to normal 2wd and daily drive up and down freeway,4wd light comes on and flashes continuously. Only way to remove is shut engine down but returns soon later. Have had vehicle serviced by Toyota and advised how to best re-engage 2wd. Continues to do. Any ideas pls
