Clunk taking off in first gear.

Postby newbloke on Mon, 19 May 2014 9:23 +0000

2002 HILUX 5LE.
Hilux has 215000 kms and owned since new.
200000 km service done as per service book all oils.
Have just had rear springs reset and extra leaf put in.
Day after installation when taking off in first gear from standing start with cluch nearly full engaged feel a clunk.
No other issues when changing through gears.
All bolts and nuts checked.
All uni's good and greased and tail shaft does not have play.
No issues prior to installation.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Centre bearing? Tail shaft will be on a different angle since you raised it? Leaves slapping together?
