hey guys,
i have noticed a strange quiet knocking sound like a bearing when its on its way out at slow speeds, the other morning on the way to work when it was cold i noticed it around 80km/h and as i slowed down it was squeaking also.. theres no movement or obviousness to the front left hub bearing being shot, i have been tossing up if its a bearing or a cv joint... my cars done 39000kms on original cv's and bearings, the cv boots are mint condition also.
i thought it was either a hub bearing or cv Until!
i jacked up the front end and noticed when i spun either wheel as the front driveshaft/prop shaft turned where it meets the transfer case it was making the exact noise i can hear at low speeds, correct me if i am wrong i believe this is a output shaft bearing?
so im not sure if its this and also a wheel bearing or if its all entirely this. i know it shouldnt make noise as i have spun it before in the air and not heard anything
can anyone shed light on this i know its a doosey but the internets letting me down lol
