Part No. 04438YZZ06 is a split boot kit and should be around 86.35 AUD each

I cut 1 of mine on my first trip off road in my Lux I think it was about 60 for the boot but it cost atleast another 100 to have it fitted. Taken more care since
They were from Ultimate so were probably after market and possibly a bit thicker

A mechanic showed me a while back.. a universal boot (can't remember brand or name of it) it was extremely stretchy and could be stretched over the CV cup so no need to pull CV apart to fit it! had about 10 very close ribs on it and you just cut it where you want. Bloody brilliant, keep meaning to get a couple... Will stop by his workshop and get the brand of 'em.

those stretchy boots dont save alot of time because you still have to pull the hub off the axle. Also if the boot is torn the cv is probably full of dirt so will have to be cleaned out and repacked with grease, so the time saving drops to zero.

Agree with Andy666 and recently I needed to replace torn boots, I upgraded to the VMN complete CV's and have the factory ones as spare, when needed. The cost is not that much more to buy and fitting is not an issue as long as you have the tools.

Check out these cv protectors. Probably would work, even if you chuck them on when you're heading bush.

i disagree, i have torn boots and had to pull the whole CV apart to get a new boot on the inner cup.... it took hours!
You saw how easy it was in the video, it wouldn't be that hard to clean out dirty grease and re pack with the CV still in the diff housing(messy as hell though)

$15.00 each from repco , and do it your self if you are mechanically minded, and they also come with a tube of grease and new clamps, i use a bit of sealant under the sealing surfaces for piece of mind that no water will get in

Did the "hours" that it took you to replace the inner cv boot also include the time it took to free the hub, swing it out of the way and get the outer end of the axle free? Because all that still has to be done. Plus it would be a lot harder to wash a cv out still on the vehicle.

Here's a little tip for everyone. Instead of pulling the stub axle out of the diff just pull the centre spider of the inner cv out of the slide casing (about 3 minutes work). The slide casing is then easily wiped out and the inner spider is simply removed from the end end of the drive shaft.
