Gday Mal
My clutch was doin the same thing last year, had to use me toes to pull the pedal back up.
I had to replace the clutch slave cylinder, i think it cost about $300 from memory.
Cheers

I had that Problem on a customers 2005 Sr at about 130,000klms
I changed fluid and bled it thru, it came good after a day or 2 of use.
It's been going for years since, all original!
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

Check your injectors about every 10,000k.
WARNING check oil pickup screen is clear
no chips no tune ups - why increase risk of piston cracking?

im also having the same problem with my clutch, ive recently had a new heavy duty clutch put in by arb, i do believe its a fluid issue, can anyway give me some advice or a link to how i can replace the fluid , ive got a bit of knowledge on servicing cars, so if its possible to do myself ill try, just not sure on what i have to unbolt or open up to do so, if someone could get back to be asap it would greatly be appreciated as its an urgency to get fixed, my number is 0402 491 287, just incase its a bit more to explain via the internet,

thanks heaps

I had this same issue in a 2002 4x4, my clutch pedal would be sucked down to the floor and had to be lifted back up with my toes. Thought it was a slave cylinder so replaced that. Was good for 100m then happened again. Ended up replacing the master cylinder and that fixed it.
Parts were pretty cheap if you do it yourself

Adding to the collective experiences, our 05 kun26r developed the non returning clutch down at the snow. Called nrma who promptly diagnosed clutch plates gone and we needed a new clutch!

This didn't sound right to us as we had no signs of slippage and when we pumped the pedal it would work again.

Called my old mate #talktheroo who provided invaluable tech assistance over the phone to help me confirm it was the slave cylinder. Problem fixed. Thanks John, you're a legend!

To the arrogant nrma dude who treated us like idiots for suggesting it could be hydraulic well who's the idiot now?

I've had it a couple of times and it always seems to be an issue with the clutch master cylinder. cheap fix (UK) and half an hour's work
