Hey bafaction, I'm having the exact same problem, my hilux has no screw in thingy in the cluster, and no pin hole to push at the back. Have you solved this problem since you last posted? If so could you share with us the answer?

is your odometer digital ??

if so - put it on odo.. ign then off. hold trip button in and turn on ign whilst holding for 10sec. release and it will show 15 (15 x 10k). release and then push and hold untill it returns to odometer.. job done.

if its a mechanical odo it should be a screw refit on rear of cluster

Bafaction, this model has the clip type connection at the back of your cluster, near the speedo cable connection. It's marked X and Y. Now if it was on X after you changed your belt you wanna move the clip to Y. That pesky light should go of when you start your HIlux. Don't know why Toyota made some models with the screw type? and some with the clip type? hope this helps. Goodluck.
