Fusible Link Blown

Fusible Link Blown

Postby olicle on Sat, 16 Apr 2022 12:58 +0000

Hi there,

I have blown the fusible link, which I will replace. I am a little confused by the symptoms however, when it blew all of the symptoms seemed to lead to the 10A ECU-IG fuse under the steering wheel yet this is still intact. Could this mean there is another problem somewhere or should I expect to see these symptoms from the blown fusible link aswell?

Cheers

All depends on what actually caused the link to blow in the first place.
Faulty component ... replace component
Got water in the electrics ... dry it out thoroughly and "SLOWLY" try again
Dropped a tool (or shorted something out by accident) ... remove problem feature and try again.

Without more detail about what's happening or actually being able to look at it I find it kinda difficult to diagnose.
