no centre air (2003 model)

Initially the vent selection switch was stuck on demist and side vents. Fiddled around with the selector cable underneath the steering wheel and while the knob now moves and the foot air is working it's like the direction is random combinations of demist, side vents and foot. No centre air. All other aircon controls work although the heater tube has been disconnected so no heat.
