2000 LN147 5L Alternator upgrade

I have a 2000 LN147 Hilux with Toyota 5L Diesel engine. Just wondering if there are any alternator upgrades for these around, they also have a vacuum pump mounted to them.
Mine is working fine as it, but I believe it struggles to charge the battery properly in the mornings when I have the heater running and the lights on.
I would like to add a few electrical accessories to it such as an amplifer and would like to do an upgrade before hand.
Could an alternator from a later model engine be made to work? I think the LS1 engines have 140A alternators.
