Hey all

Bought a 1998 2.7 Petrol hilux, and as you would expect it had a lot of dodgy wiring from over the years, some wires still hooked up and live just chilling in the engine bay. Anyways so issue I have is I’ve cut all the after market wiring and relays out and all the dual battery wires that where there. But after I’ve done all that I’ve lost power to my dash. Has no A/C power, radio, indicators or wipers. Headlights and dash lights still work and speedo but everything else on dash is not. Could still drive it around drove it for few hours then it died thought it was the alternator because went through fair bit of mud, replaced that and still same issue alternator is now not charging the battery. it has me completely stumped to as what I do next, I’ve checked all fuses all wires ect seems all ok. If anyone has had same issue or even has wiring diagrams and could tell me if the A/C radio ect all run of the one power wire or anything

Any help appreciated before I go spending a lot of money on a auto sparky

Did you trace all the wiring you removed beforehand ?

Yeah mate I have, they have tapped into a lot of wires everywhere. Cut that much out I’ve tried putting it all back in but can’t work it out as to where some of it was running

Check the supply to the acc fuses. Was probably changed to come from the aux battery to run the stereo.
