KZN165R Diagnostic Code 19
Posted: Thu, 19 Jan 2017 1:10 +0000Hi, So I've been having issues with going into limp mode intermittently in my KZN165R (2004). I bridged the pins and pulled diagnostic code 19 which is "Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor". I've searched and searched and found no one came across this problem. I've pulled the sensor and it seems fine.
Thing is I'm also having huge trouble finding one of these sensors to even try troubleshoot it. Wrecks are hard to come by in these in my area (NT), but no one seems to have this part. It comes out easily enough. Toyota Genuine can do it only as part of the whole pedal assembly ($1000+) even though the sensor just clips out. It also doesn't seem to occur on all models, just certain ones, including things like HDJ100 series Landcruisers.
Has anyone ever heard of this problem or replacing the sensor?
