Relocation of thermostat 1 kzte

Hey guys, my kzn165R has had no end of time thrown at it, mechanically its in great shape but its built to make torque and heat is a real issue when im towing my caravan.

Before people ask the mods list is as follows:
3" exhaust
Front mount intercooler
Aftermarket boost controller
Catch can
Egr no longer doing its thing
Custom fuel cut defeater
Custom idle up controller
New pump
New injectors
Manifold cleaned
Custom tuned Steinbauer

She made 101kw 378 Nm @ the wheels with 32's on 14 psi.

Now to point, I have plenty of torque but heat becomes an issue on steady climbs, I have done all work myself and the usual issues have been ruled out, it has a new thermostat, the clutch has been adjusted, it doesn't use coolant.

I have done the temp guage mod and even though my hilux has a 71 deg thermostat standard it will stray from that temp and easily hit 100 on hills.

Some of you may be aware that having the thermostat on the inlet has been proven to cause some of the 1 KZ-TE's heat issues as the incoming cool water closes the thermostat before its fully done its job.

So im currently in the process of moving the thermostat to the head outlet so it stays open as long as the water passing through it over the trigger temp.

Ive done all the machining myself and am waiting on a new thermostat and radiator to turn up to complete the install.

Ill post pics when I work out how to
