Double Din mounting Gen5 Dash

Double Din mounting Gen5 Dash

Postby PsionicOz on Wed, 10 Aug 2016 1:14 +0000

Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any hidden gotchya's when installing double din in-car entertainment systems in a Gen5 Dash.

Looking at replacing the standard radio/shelf in my 1996 LN106 Hilux with a Kenwood DDX4016BT.

Are there any separate facias or ISO/Toyota looms might be required ?

Any pointers gratefully appreciated.

Very simple install
Nothing need except what is in the box supplied with new head unit
If you have other stuff running into back you'll need to keep the wiring very neat to fit but if nothing you'll have plenty of space
I've got 9x rca, reverse cam, tv tuner and mic plugged into rear of mine and it all fits
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................

Thanks for the info and the pic.

I'll have to see about getting one and fitting it.

All I'm really after is the Bluetooth connectivity with my phone.. but my two young boys have been complaining about there not being music to listen too on long trips like in Mums car.

Can't have that :geek:
