Hilux 2012 Climate Control Fault

Hilux 2012 Climate Control Fault

Postby Byeevo on Wed, 11 Feb 2015 5:10 +0000

Hi everyone,

2012 Toyota Hilux w/ Climate Control.

Problem..

Turn ign on, demister orange light flashes 46 times ( during this time no air/nothing at all )

Then climate LCD displays air vent logo and recirc images. Air Con can then be turned on however air flow will not change direction & fresh/recirc flap doesn't work. Fan speed can be adjusted.

Anyone got any info ???

Thanks

Chris

still under warranty? If so take it to toyota.

Could be something to do with the aircon filter behind the glovebox? Kind of sounds like a short somewhere though.

Hold the rec button and the auto button as you turn the ignition on this puts the unit into diagnostic mode. See what the code is

I find climate control a pain in the ass, id rather the standard manual controls. And it would be one less computer to go wrong.

True me too. If you have the fan set on manual not auto at least the fan starts faster then when it is on auto

Hey Guys

Just had the same problem with my 2014 SR5, bugger didn't even make it 12 months. I did the fault code thing and it came up with 21, 41, 43 flashing. Has anyone had the similar codes out of interest. Even though under warranty, i might be able to speed up the process with all the fault finding bla bla bla.

Cheers....

Was going to fit climate control to my 05 SR - 2nd hand the parts can be had for under $500

In the end though it seemed like alot of money for something I wouldnt really pay any attention to

Hey mate, what's the rec button ? Recirculation I'm assuming.
