pzq60-00535 reversing camera

I just installed the Toyota reversing camera on my 2013 SR5 followed the instructions an plugged it straight into the pzq60-00535 sat nav head unit. after all this put it in reverse and nothing happens. under settings I do a system check and the camera feature has off next to it. I didn't get any more parts do I need to enable something on the head unit or do I need a signal wire to and from somewhere for this installation there is nothing in the manual all advise is greatly appreciated.
