Battery light and no radio when headlights are on.

Hey guys,

Ever since I done s water crossing on the weekend if had this whine in the engine bay that is only dependant on engine revs.

Now I didnt think much of it till this morning when I was driving to work on the freeway with the lights on, fogs on, aircon on, radio going, and then the battery light came on, followed by the abs light.
Just after this the radio cutout, and the dash lights dimmed. When the sun came up enough and I turned my lights off the abs light turned off then the battery light turned off as well...

Thinking it might be my alternator on the way out, anyone have any ideas? Whats an alternator worth?

I'd agree with your diagnosis. Just turn on all your lights etc and check your battery voltage. Should be at least 13.8 to 14 at idle.
