Dash lights not working

Dash lights not working

Postby Lorry Parrish on Fri, 01 Feb 2013 3:28 +0000

Hi All I have a 2000 LN167 5L-E dual cab

I can't figure out why my Dash lights have stopped working I have looked at all the fuse under the bonnet and in the cab all seem to be OK. I have removed the dimmer POT and bridged the connection but still no light in the dash and on the centre consol dials? Can any one tell me were the exact fuse is for the dash lights or is there another item that is should be looking at?

Thanks for your help

Agree my exsperience is that when somthing gose out on the dash its usauly a problem in the rear of the lux, busted bulb, short, grass hopper in the tail light, or your tralier curcuit. I replaced the 10amp No. 48 fuse under dash it looked ok but when put a new one in all was good.

electricals, the gremlin exist in all hiluxes :D Good Luck

Had the same thing happen on my 2000 dual cab 5L 2wd recently but the fuse for tail lights which was blown was under the hood in the rectangular box on the drivers side. Was a mini blade fuse 10 amp. Once replaced all good and tail lights back. Maybe its a warning feature that when tail lights go the dash lights also go out so that you are aware that the tail lights aren't working.

Thanks for the reply's it was the tail light fuse under the bonnet that kept blowing. There was a short near the rear lights.

Now all good thanks

Hi guys
I hope someone can offer some advice
I have a similar problem. The 4x4 and low range lights on the dash don't light up
I initially thought it wasn't going into 4wd but it is
All fuses under the dash test good and I have unplugged and reconnected all the plugs on the transfer case I can get to
Any help appreciated

Hi all, first post hopefully can get some help. 2012 Luxy and the back lights on the gauge cluster for the fuel and temp gauges aren't working when other dash lights come on. Any suggestions? Cheers pals
