Winch draining

Went wheeling last night went to use my winch drained my battery in less then a minute took my mates battery out disconnected my winch had trouble starting with my mates battery started checked mine back in drove home for about 30 minutes turned my car off no lights no dash lights nothing help would be appreciated cheers

I'm pretty sure I read something similar to this in the past mate and the battery was rooted someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the computer shuts down the lights and dash lights along with non essential but and pieces to conserve power. But I could be totally wrong.

Yeah I will put another battery in it when I get home c if that helps
